One of the biggest reasons I joined Manus Dental was the fact that I get to work with many other colleagues in the same facility. As a former solo dentist I soon found out that it was all consuming and sometimes solitary being a full time clinician and trying to manage all of the administrative aspects of my practice. I love dentistry; I just don't love the business end of it. I found myself taking my work home with me every night. I would worry about everything from where all my invoices paid to did we order everything we need to have my receivables been taken care of. I knew early on in my career that I needed a balance between my personal and professional life. Now with Manus, when my work day is finished I know I'm done, not going home taking care of business. Most people are here at Manus for one main reason; you can be a full time clinician with your own exclusive patient base without having to manage all of the administration that goes with running a practice. You can practice dentistry-Manus does the managing. One of the great things about Manus is that they can offer things for you that you don't necessarily get in private practice. We have a very high end educational system that gives our doctors access to great training for free and also very convenient to attend. That is something you just can't do in a private practice by yourself. I'm here with other colleagues and I love that team play. We can sit down as a team and treatment plan cases if needed in a non-competitive environment. We do things as you would in a hospital environment. I think the thing I like best about working with Manus is I have a wonderful group of people to work with. I like working with my peers-I don't want to be in a solo practice. I had my own practice before and I wanted the commradery of a group environment. People are close here; we're friends and colleagues. At Manus, I have a great opportunity to do what my main interest is-to sit down and do the dentistry. No worry about the administrative part. I have an excellent office manager, hygienist, and assistant that I get to work with every day. "At the end of the day I don't have to worry about the small things.."

The main reason I joined Manus was that I never really had the aspirations to take on an entire practice by myself. I love dentistry, but I was never interested in the administrative aspect. I just didn't feel that it was something I wanted to put all of my time and energy into. The great thing about this group is that I get to come to work every day and do what I love to do, and that's the dentistry.
